An antique tea pot from the Pairpont Glass Company rests on a lace table cloth with a floral lace curtain as a backdrop, all objects meant for both beauty and utility. Now cultural artifacts, these tea and coffee pots were once the centerpieces of social rituals. Visiting helped weave the fabric of society through communication and the exchange of news and ideas, and even the creation of social movements.
