There is nothing quite like the first true days of June, as the garden bursts to life and soaks up the sun. These yellow peonies feel like captured sunlight. They float above a sea of green, gathering light in their bowl-like blossoms.
Bringing them into the studio felt like bringing a summer afternoon indoors. If you look closely, you’ll find an unexpected surprise: tiny coral stripes at the very center, softening into rich golds, and finally fading to the palest cream on the outer petals.
