Early Summer Morning
oil on canvas, 16" x 12"
How do you preserve the fresh feel of a summer morning? It all begins with fresh flowers on a window ledge. Hydrangea in the process of flowering catch the light and the vintage blue bottle echoes the morning sky and hints at the blues in a mature bloom. The shadow dappled ground is a lovely background completing the summer vibes.
No grand vases or towering floral designs, just simple flowers in simple containers sitting in the morning sun.
